Dar Williams says of Katie Dahl, “[her] songs aren’t just melodies and words, they’re journeys that are firmly grounded in a sense of place—beautiful, real landscapes that help you feel places that you may have never been before. That’s the very best kind of songwriting.”

Michael Lee Ammons and son Joshua are members of the hot acoustic band, The Water Street Hot Shots. They play vintage style blues and roots music. This award winning combo has performed on street corners, in beer halls, for college lectures, weddings, and on festival stages. Although we are unable to present the entire group, leader Michael (with Joshua on upright bass) will deliver a rousing performance reminiscent of artists like The Memphis Jug Band, Tampa Red, Muddy Waters, Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Blake, and Big Bill Broonzy.

Tune in to Mike Ammons Music Facebook page at 7:00 p.m. on August 22.

David Stoddard is highly entertaining! This talented songwriter hails from Minnesota and has acquired many songwriting accolades at places like the Kerrville New Folk Festival, Minnesota Folk Festival, South Florida Folk Festival, and the Tucson Folk Festival.

John McCutcheon says of Stoddard, "It's not often I hear a songwriter that can write funny and write serious.  David Stoddard is one of the rare ones.  I love his stuff."
