September 2018 Update
We have made it over the halfway mark to our Sound Fund goal of $8900. So far, we have purchased two powered speakers, a digital mixing board, digital monitors, updated DI boxes and some beautiful curtains for the indoor stage. Every $5 or $10 (or more) donation is important to help us improve your concert enjoyment. All donations are tax-deductible. Please help us to continue replacing our other aging equipment and accessories:
Power and sound system cables
Equipment storage bags/cases

Donated to Sound Fund as of June 2018: $5500
June 2018 Update
We asked for help to update our sound equipment, and Black Hawk Folk Society supporters rose to the challenge! Our most recent purchase included new monitor speakers just in time for the summer season. We could still use donations to help us reach our goal, so please consider donating if you are able.
Sound Fund Update
We are still looking for donations to our Sound Fund. The powered speakers and digital mixing board we purchased in 2017 have received rave reviews for great clarity of sound from both audiences and performers alike. We would love to keep moving toward our goal of $8900 (we are at a holding pattern of $4300 as of January 2018).
New Addition to the Stage
We are continually working to improve your concert experience. This time we are adding some handsome background curtains. Check them out when you come to your next 2nd Saturday concert!
Making the Live Music Experience Sound Even Better!
Wow! Black Hawk Folk Society members are the best! We pulled together and are about halfway to our Sound Fund goal of $8900! Thanks so much to all of you who were able to share your hard-earned cash to help our live musicians sound their best! To date, we have purchased two powered speakers (which were used at the July festival and the Second Saturday Concerts in August and September) and, most recently, a digital mixing board. Not only are we dedicated to bringing live, professional folk music to central Wisconsin, we want everyone to experience the show as if they were sitting front and center! We believe these upgrades to our sound equipment will accomplish just that. If you are willing and able, please become a friend of BHFS. All donations are tax-deductible.
